The adults then returned four years later to perform the
same survey and tests. Older adults who had a life purpose and personal goals
had a lower probability of physical decline. Some adults with a high degree of
goal even increased their walking speed when they were older.It can

personal relationships, focusing on new hobbies, volunteering and mindfulness.
